Happy Friday! February is my get ready for
Spring month. I like to mix
in pastels and pale colors. My new phase this season is black and white and in prints.
Such a simple combination with a major statement. I found this skirt at Macy's
and didn’t even realize it was on sale. The original price was $60 but once at
the register it rang up to $20. Now that was a great surprise. I can already
picture various way to style this skirt. As of now it’s my favorite. I love the
fit and material, wrinkle resistant. I wore this outfit for the hubby’s
birthday dinner and rocked it with my DSW Valentino inspired heels, which by the
way are now available on other colors. {I’m
loving the red ones.}
With
Valentine’s day a week away am very excited to celebrate it with my grandfather
(my momma’s father). I usually have a baking extravaganza at home and stuff my
daddy and hub’s with sweets but this year it will be a bit different. My cousin
and I came up with the idea of throwing a mini brunch for grand-daddy and
include a lot of heart shaped desserts. My grandfather is 93 years old and will
now be staying with the rest of my mother’s family here in Los Angeles. I’m
really excited about this since he is the last person, closest to my mother
that I have who is alive. My grandfather and mother resemble each other so much
in so many ways. Even my padre said the same. They have the same face structure
and nose but best of all the same personality, except my momma was a tid-bit more
tougher and a little too honest. Every time I see him I see my momma. It fills
me with emotion and peace all at the same time.
Thanks for tuning and reading wishing you a wonderful
weekend!
