Oscar week was full of festivities and this year I attended Vanity Fair's Social Club at WeWork Hollywood. It was a fun-filled event. The week kicked off with a happy hour meet and greet. There were local bloggers as well as out of state and even out of the country. It really was a pleasure meeting everyone and listening to the amazing panels as well as those gifts.
This vending machine was one of the hot spots. It was filled with various presents from make-up to a grey goose's shaker. Every day we were able to choose a gift, tweet about it, and viola! The last few days we were able to score up to 3 gifts. I was able to get a whole grey goose shaker and cups set for my daddy.
As you know I love food and admire the art of styling and creating it. Well this cake by Valerie Confections was truly a piece of art. I'm obsessed with baking and now I'm inspired to try to create my own version. Another piece of art that was too darn cute to eat was by California Donuts. They have a wide selection of flavors that honestly I couldn't decide which to go for. I ended up choosing the "Samo-Nut" and it was delicious. I just wish I would of had a big cold cup of milk.
Award wining costume designer, Colleen Atwood her new handbag line and insights of her career. Her collection has something for every gal. From clutches to totes. For the working girl by day to the social butterfly at night, she has a bag for you. She shared insights of the process to put together the costumes for the film, Into the Woods, starring Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp.
On Friday the one and only Louise Roe presented and shared pieces of her book, Front Roe: How to Be the Leading lady in Your Life. She is a very sweet and humble person who genuinely likes and cares for others. She took the time to chat with everyone individually and take pictures. I really enjoyed her positive thoughts and way of spreading the love for oneself. In the book you will find tips, tricks, and more of everything she's learned along the way of her career. From fashion to style and even advise. It's a girlfriend to girlfriend talk, in this case a book.
Thank you for tuning in and what were your thoughts of the Oscars and it's fashion?
