DIY: Patio Table

As many know from past posts I love gardening and working on improving the backyard. About a year ago my father came home with cement blocks that we later used in the front yard. Since there were more than a couple left over I began to think of ways to use them. My first idea was to make a bench (seen here) , since I wanted to have quick seating to easily place a table when friends came over. Well... that didn't work out, due to the need of a seating cushion. At first I'd  planned to make it myself but with short on time, I backtracked and decided to go look through the summer clearance at Target, I was too late.

So.... since my end of summer dinner was coming up I decided to switch it up and I came up with a patio table. I must say it was quick and easy. A couple of times I smashed my fingers but nothing bad. I wanted to paint the table white and add navy chevron patterns (which is still in mind), but for now I'll keep it as is.

From my trip to Target I was able to find the solar lanterns on clearance and the candle holder is from Ross, which I bought a year ago.

This year we sat and enjoyed the fireworks from the backyard while we listen to music.
