-3 to 4 Habanero chillies (all depends how spicy you'd like it)
-Bunch of cilantro
-3 Garlic Cloves
-Salt and Pepper to taste
Start by washing off the tomatoes, cilantro, habaneros, lemon and mint leaves. Remove stems from tomatoes and habaneros and boil. While that boils chop the onion and garlic, place in a blender cup along with lemon juice, cilantro, mint, salt and pepper. Once the tomatoes and habaneros have boiled remove from water and place in the blender. Blend well, taste and serve. If the salsa is too thick feel free to add some of the boiling water. You can make it as thin as you like or leave it chunky. Feel free to adjust anything your way.
It's an easy recipe which you can cook meat or veggies with. My mom use to make Papas en Chile, which translates to Potatoes in Chili sauce. She would roast the potatoes and follow the process of making this salsa. Then transfer the potatoes to a pan saute more onion and pour over the sauce. She would let it cook a bit more and serve it with pork chops. Yummy! I love using this salsa for the cooler days where I can turn it into a soup by adding broth and veggies to it. Super easy to make with multiple uses.
