Fall Beauty Essentials

As the seasons change so does my skin. Slowly but surely I'm learning what works and what doesn't. As I've mention before I have combination skin, oily t-zone and normal every where else. This has it's own issues for example over the summer I get extra oily and in the fall and winter I get dry spots and even some peeling going on.

Today I wanted to share some of the beauty products I'm using this season and have for a couple of years now. Some are new discoveries others are not. But the majority of the time anything regarding with beauty is always new to me.

Queen Helene Mud Pack Masque: 3 times a week I try to put on a mask. For a while now I've become addicted to trying different types and brands. I had been reading and hearing all the rave about mud masks and I was eager to try one. I did some research and found this one. I'm a big fan of this brand and use other products of theirs as well. So when I found this mask I had to try it, plus it's super affordable. The first time I put the mask on I must admit it burned to the point my eyes got so red and teary and all I wanted was to take it off. But then again I did exfoliate beforehand. I've been using the mask for a month now and my skin is so much brighter, clearer and my pores have minimized. One thing I've notice is this mask quickly shuts down and clears up any breakouts. I woke up with a pimple and went about my day. It obviously got bigger so before I went to bed I gave myself a scrub and dabbed some of the mud mask on. The next morning the pimple was gone and there were no signs of it ever being there. The scent is very soothing and relaxing. Smells like rose petals.

Natures Gate Oil Free Moisturizer: I needed something to control the oil and help those dry spots and I found this at Sprouts. Again, after reading reviews and recommendations this moisturizer helps in many ways. It does not clog my pores and keeps my oil at a low. Those dry spots around my nose are gone. It has no aroma or fragrance which is perfectly fine and one pump is enough for your face and neck.

Neutrogena Foaming Scrub, Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Acne Wash: Love the smell and sensation of clean skin. Helps get rid of any make up as well and is gentle enough for everyday use.

Sonoma Naturals Rose Hip Serum: As you know I have a not so normal working schedule. I wake up in the middle of the night so I split my sleep throughout the day. Well that is starting to show, those fine lines are starting to make their appearance around my eyes. I did some research and found out Rose Hip oil as well as Coconut and Avocado oil help soften and even diminish lines on your face. I remember hearing my mom say she used rose oil as a teen and young adult in her skin regime. Now I understand why. She had great skin and looked ageless. Her wrinkles were so minimal even when she was over 50 years old. You can find this little bottle for sale online or check your local TJ Maxx. I found this bottle there for under $10. I even got my friend one. A drop goes a long way and again the scent is soft and smells like roses.

Stila: On a trip I took to Blushington I asked about recommending me a foundation that worked with my skin type and my makeup artist suggested I tried Stila. She was even kind enough to give me a full little make over using the product as well as offered some tips. This foundation comes along with a concealer located on the top of the cap and a mini brush, which comes in handy when you are on the go. Carry it in your bag and retouch when you need it.

H2O Sea Salt Foaming Body Polish: I love H2O products. Soft and clear skin is always a must. I like using body scrubs and polishes to get rid of dirt, dead skin, and sweat. Helps keep skin clean and of course super soft. I love the scent. A mixture of fresh citrus and ocean breeze.

Anfora Body Oil: This I started to use years ago after listening to my mom about she using Rose Oil. I use it two ways and both work fine for me. After I shower I mix a few drops into my lotion and smooth it all over my body. The other way is just rubbing the plain rose petal oil onto my skin. After scrubbing I make sure I lather on a good dose of oil or lotion. That way my skin is hydrated and soft. I love the scent on this oil. Has a soft rose petals scent. I'm going through a roses scent frenzy phase. I use it all year long as well as coconut oil.

it's a 10 Miracle Styling Serum: Say goodbye to puffy-frizzy hair and hello to shiny-soft locks. I was first introduced to this brand back in high school after I desperately tried to have nice straight hair but failed in every way. I was not the best at straightening or doing my hair and I had no idea what products to use. I was told by classmates to dab some oil on my damped hair and then straighten it. I went to Target and found this serum and read the label and liked what I read. Ever since I've never stopped using it. It works on every hair type and a little goes a long way.
