Macy's Fall Trends For You

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of the Lifestyle Bloggers Collective (#LLBLOG) and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

As you know fall is one of my favorite seasons not only because it’s the entry way to holiday season but because of the fashion. I love mixing and styling to keep warm but I also love playing with different tendencies. Macy’s sent over this warm poncho and floppy hat so I can play around and share my style.

Hats fit every season and are a great way to update any outfit. I especially love them because it’s one easy accessory to throw on and look very chic. A poncho is great way to update your outwear. I like to change it up and go from wearing jackets and coats to shawls and ponchos. You can style a poncho with a belt or alone. Add a nice brooch or a scarf around your neck. These two pieces can be mixed with many other pieces you probably already have in your closet.

Today’s look was inspired by the Macys Boho trend. I love the colors of both the poncho and hat. Deep earth tones mixed with those of fall. Since I was running errands I wanted to be comfortable and make my outfit accessible to take off pieces if I was warm. I added a belt to give the poncho shape. I wore boots because I felt like mixing a bit of country and outdoors. These two pieces updated my simple jeans and t-shirt outfit to a chic and boho look. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on a whole new outfit; it’s about choosing one or two that you can recycle continuously with pieces you already own.

Wishing you a happy Monday!

  2. fashion is finally recognizing what we always knew - a lot of us women are shaped like, well... women! This often means more curves than seen on the average catwalk model.
