Happy Friday! Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? Part of me is excited and the other part not so much. Obviously the food is what makes my heart sing but whaat doesn’t is soon the holidays will be ending and another new year will begin. I wish it was always pre-Christmas time with music playing and every street and place fully decorated.
Today’s look is a flashback to my childhood style. As a kid I wore oxford shoes along with scalloped socks and navy skirts. Before the new school year began my mom and I would head south of the border, Tijuana , to shop for uniform essentials and shoes. I loved taking those day trips, we shopped, ate tortas and all those foods I rarely ever found in Los Angeles. Those were the good times. Now days when I stumble along similar pieces I wore as a child I usually get them. I style and mix them with things I already have.
On a trip I took to Chinatown I came across these socks which I really liked, it was a set of navy and gray. I like taking random trips and checking on what I can find. Sometimes you find treasures others not so much. Either way taking field trips are always fun in my opinion, you discover something new.
