Happy Monday! Sundays are the best for starters it's a day to relax and recharge, visit mom, and do anything that comes to mind. Yesterday was one of those days. I stopped by Morning Lavender's Pop-Up party and had such a great time. It was girls day out zipping on pink mimosas, shopping, pampering and enjoying sweet delicious treats. The clothing was feminine, simple, and budget friendly something we all love.
I met Kim Le the owner of Morning Lavender and blogger at Lace and Locks. Not only is she a sweetheart but business woman embracing other women doing and working to do the same. Along with her pop-up shop there was a makeup corner with the talented makeup artist, Katie B. Cosmetics. There you were able to find an array of makeup and even create a look to go with your new outfit.
Kate B Cosmetics, a celebrity makeup artist was there giving tips and recommendations on what works best for each skin type and tone. As you know when it comes to makeup I'm clueless but I told her what my issues were and what I was looking for and in less than 15 seconds I had an answer and product. I scored a mineral foundation and a very rich orchid lip gloss I will be sharing later on.
I couldn't get enough of how perfect and beautiful these paper flowers are to the point I thought they were real. These beauties are from HandmadebySaraKim along with many other delicate and romantic pieces. Each and every order is personally made by Sara along with any request there might be. You've probably seen her pieces for BHLDN at Anthropology and various bridal boutiques. These paper flower bouquets are perfect for summer table settings or gifts. They last forever and are a great decoration around the house. Sara also makes paper flower crowns and are so darn cute. They remind me of Frida Kahlo and the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema. I really enjoy the vintage mixed with modern and personal touches.
What better way to end a day of shopping? DESSERT! These are so amazing not only do they look like little pieces of art they're also delicious but hard to eat (well.... for the first 10 seconds of making eye contact). Berries & Blush Cake Studio is located in Costa Mesa and cater to your request. For my palette the strawberry mousse was on point and so were the Oreo pyramid chocolates. If you're ever looking for something sweet and special whether it's a gathering or simply a gift I recommend Blush & Berries. They are detail oriented and also set up beautiful dessert tables, as you can see.
Wishing you a wonderful Monday. Thanks for tuning in!
