Cozy, Comfy, and Chic

Happy Hump Day and Thanksgiving eve. Hope you are ready for the festivities but mostly for the food. I love this time of year when family and friends get together and catch up and eat like there’s no tomorrow. Today I’m sharing a simple thanksgiving look thanks to Piperlime that consist of the three main C’s: cozy, comfy, and chic.

For family gathering’s I like to keep it simple but stylish and this outfit is just that. Since I’ve been obsessing a bit over gold I chose this crinkled gold skirt but wasn’t sure what to pair with. I know I want to be comfortable during dinner but at the same time not be too casual. Then I received the package with the coat and chambray and I knew the outfit was complete. I love oversize coats because it’s easier to wear thick sweaters and add layers underneath without looking bulky. You can never go wrong with a chambray and in this case a tailored chambray that fits like a glove.

My advice for a thanksgiving dinner outfit:

*Wear comfortable clothes if you are planning on eating a bit of everything and if you will be going from one home to the next. This skirt has a stretchy waistband which gives me the freedom to move comfortably and not feel like I’m going to pop as the day progresses.

*Add some sparkle to your outfit. You don’t have to go all out but mixing in some gold, silver, or sequins will be a great addition.

*Don’t forget color. I think the best way to do that is with a scarf or heels.

*Mix chic with everyday pieces. A chambray is one of my favorite essentials, you can easily dress it up or down.

*Don’t forget to keep warm and a add a coat with some detail on it. Try patterns and colors.

I hope you have a save a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you again for tuning in and keeping me company. You are part of this blog and inspiration and there aren’t enough thank you’s and hugs for you. Again, thank you for reading and joining me every day.
