French Country Style

Happy Friday and Valentine's eve. Many are still trying to find the perfect gift for their one and only. I love holidays and any days that involve a celebration but I rather share and make everyday special for those I love. I never been fond of the idea of celebrating love or a parent on just one day. For that reason I make sure I always express my love and spoil them any way I could. Since I'm not the traditional girl this Valentine's day this is as close as I'll get with wearing red and by that I mean the scarf. I've never been into following themes or trends so when the hub's and I started dating and we shared our first Valentine's day I wore a gray vintage inspired tweed dress. He loves the idea I never follow rules and always choose the opposite direction. I've always have had that mentality ever since I can remember. I guess I got it from my momma.

One of the things I do love to do on Valentine's day is bake. I like trying new recipes and then have my padre and hubs taste them and tell me what they think. Well this year there will be baking plus sharing the day with my grandfather. I've never had my Papa-G  living so close and now I that we do I want to share as much time with him as possible.

Today's look is another casual look inspired by French style. I've slowly have begun wearing stripes something I never did in my younger chubby years. The one time I tried on a shirt with horizontal lines I looked like a hippo (bigger than what I already was). So I just stayed away from any clothing with lines. I never had an issue with my physical appearance but I did make sure I never ended up looking funky lol.

Thanks for visiting me and I wish a wonderful weekend and valentine's day. Don't forget to indulge on all those delicious desserts and share your look on the comment box below.
